Willie predicts more winter fun
Wednesday, February 3, 2010

Wiarton Willie peeked out of his hole on Groundhog Day to proclaim a late spring this year -- meaning six more weeks of the wonderful white stuff to play in around Owen Sound. More toboganning, sledding, skiing and snowshoeing, more skating under the stars at Harrison Park and peaceful winter walks on the Bruce Trail.

We've compiled a full list of winter adventures, all you have to do is seize the opportunity. Take your sweetheart skating for Valentine's Day or book an afternoon of dogsledding or tobogganing to mark Family Day on Feb. 15th. Check out our events guide to find out about special shows and exhibits to round out your visit, including the Wiarton Willie Festival, which continues until Sunday.

Got a great winter photo to share? Send it our way, and we'll add it to our gallery.
