Did you know?
The city of Owen Sound was originally known as Sydenham when it was first settled in 1841 by Charles Rankin. Prior to that, the area had been inhabited by the Ojibway people. The city gained its current name in 1851 and was incorporated in 1857.

Tourism Conference

The Regional Tourism Marketing Partners of Grey-Bruce invite you to attend our 10th Annual Tourism Conference, "Weathering the Economy," where we’ll tackle the burning issues of the day --  uncertain weather and a fickle economy -- and entertain some fresh, new perspectives on them.

The event takes place October 21 at our NEW location, the CAW Family Education Centre in Port Elgin. Time: 8:30-4:00 pm

Awards

At the conference, we will also present our regional tourism awards. Nominations are now being accepted, until October 1.
